When we found that our lower level windows did not meet building code, Dunbar was able to come up with a suitable, cost-effective solution that saved us enough money to be able to make other needed improvements. Dunbar upgraded our HVAC ductwork and electrical service and also made needed repairs on the outside of the house.
Later, we called on Scott Dunbar again to do major renovations of our master bedroom and lower level baths, install beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen and refinish the wood floors, improve ceiling lights, and install new carpet throughout the house. Even the appliance that we didn't replace fits into its space better and is perfectly leveled so it functions better. They addressed issues that other "professionals" had done improperly or left undone.
Communication: Scott and Cathy communicated effectively and efficiently throughout the whole process. They knew how to frame questions to help us make our wants and needs clear. They were good listeners and always had creative ideas to improve the functionality and the esthetics of our spaces. They always kept us informed of timelines and we were never left waiting around.

Dunbar Construction has been my family's go-to contractor for over 15years and has done renovations for the majority of our extended family. Originally, Scott and Cathy worked on my parent's house and did a complete renovation of the home 13 years ago. When my husband and I bought our first home three years ago, we knew we would do some significant renovations to bring it up to the 21st century.
